MyBlogLog thingummy added

The title says it all: I added a MyBlogLog thingummy to this site. Probably did it wrong - I'm not the most clever person in the world when it comes to those newfangled highfalutin' things. But let's see what happens!

American Scrap Treasure redecorated

Every now and then something happens on the internet that forces, or at least encourages, you to do something creative. Suddenly, on account of MicroSoft installing an update for IE7, American Scrap Treasures didn't look too good anymore in that particular browser. I tried to solve the issue, but after a few minutes decided to create a completely new template instead. That wasn't a bad idea anyway, since various internal changes had been made while others direly needed to be made, like creating a dedicated page for scrap catalytic converters, which had previously been part of the industrial recyclables section. Of course the gold is still going strong on my site as ever, regardless of the general dip the trade seems to be in, right now. Scrap gold now has it's own information page too, at info about gold. Soon I'll be reporting new improvements - there is no rest for the wicked (grin)!

US coins and US scrap coins

Favorites among American coin collectors are, of course, US coins, especially US gold coins. Most auctions and fairs show a lot of gold US coins, and the true collector often looks out for the very best mint condition. It is also possible to collect US gold coins in a much cheaper way, if you don't pay to much attention to the state the gold US coins are in, but more to getting a range as complete as possible. If you do a google on US scrap coins, US gold scrap coins, scrap gold coins US and other variations on the subject, you can be sure to find remarkably low priced lots of US gold coins that often aren't even in too bad a condition! Especially via eBay auctions one often encounters real good buys among the scrap gold offerings.

Data on American Scrap Treasures

On the internet, just about everything is public - even many things that aren't meant to be. The idea that we have any "privacy" is a dream: beautiful, but not true. Among the things that should be public are domain data, which I might as well post here.

Build A Niche Store Blog

Of course you are aware of our auction site Gold scrap and scrap gold, a quite extensive "Scrap metal eBay auctions store" which is generated by Build A Niche Store, also known as BANS. In order to explain how this software works and what you can do with it, I created the Build A Niche Store Blog where you can find many tips and tricks about building an eBay affiliate empire all of your own!

Kitco precious metals

In order to regularly check on the going prices for precious metals (and some base metals), we have added the Kitco precious metals quotes page to our American Scrap Treasures website. Also of interest is the new article on Storing precious metals, with some good replies to frequently asked questions. The website is expanded almost daily, like of course every good website should!

Be well!

Turn scrap metal into gold

In contrast with "waste" that's usually considered worthless, "scrap" tends to have a monetary value. In other words: scrap lots like metal, gold, jewelry, clippings and such can be bought and sold - as indeed they are! In fact "scrap as a commodity" is a very liquid market, meaning that the stuff is traded all the time, everywhere.
eBay is a place where scrap lots are constantly traded. Our new site American Scrap Treasures tells you all about it, and features hourly updated listings of scrap lots for sale.

Be well!
